BINGO Volunteering Procedures
The Bingo Hall is now a non-smoking business.
There is a NEW Vanden Viking Bingo Volunteer Hotline. It's 707-365-2560. This phone number is only used for bingo only. You can call or text this number.
Thursday nights are Vanden nights. For the most part Vanden volunteers sell $1.00 flash tickets to the bingo players. They are extra games that the players play along with their bingo.
When the month is over, the bills are paid and what's left is sent to the various Vanden charities on the volunteers' behalf. The money fundraised is sent to the booster organization. How much is made all depends on how busy the bingo hall is on our nights each month. It varies from month to month. This is a year round fundraiser.
Volunteering is open to anyone whose child or grandchild attends Vanden, a Vanden student 18 years or older, teachers and coaches. Several Vanden groups are currently using Bingo as a fundraiser such as Robotics, Music, the language dept. and some sports teams. Please make sure your volunteer hours are designated to the organization you want.
Shifts also vary but start as early as 3:45 and as late as 7:00pm. Closing time varies from week to week but it's usually between 9:30 and 10pm. The schedule is always two weeks out.

Allocation of Funds Received From Bingo
Vanden Boosters usually receive Bingo checks a month and a half after the Bingo hours are worked by the volunteers. However, sometimes funds are distributed a bit later to us due to various reasons. An important point for volunteers to understand is that Boosters does not control Bingo check disbursement dates or any delays caused by this.
Bingo Funds will NOT be reallocated between organizations. Whatever organization your funds have been designated for when you volunteer, that organization will retain those funds. Volunteers will not be refunded for any bingo hours worked, even if there is a balance and their student is a senior. If those funds are not used by the designated organization then said funds will revert to the Boosters' General Fund.
